This is a series of paintings on the topic of Frida Kahlo (for sale if you are interested). She was a Mexican painter, a surrealist (perhaps), a social painter... (it is difficult to label her work). Throughout her life she painted a number of self-portraits and it is regarded as one of the most important female artists of the 20th Century. I’ve been always fascinated by Frida, and in this series I pay her a sort of homage... Also, to paint Frida is a sort of  comfort painting (if that exists): Once in a while I come back to Frida for inspiration, for answers, for a drink of tequila. So,
